The Sterling International School in Kwabenya organized a PROJECT PRESENTATION AND ARTS EXHIBITION on July 19, 2022. The theme for the Lent Term Project was ‘Forms and Symbols’. Students created artworks with Adinkra Symbols and through that learned about the significance of African forms and symbols. Older learners worked on paintings and portraits using paper collage techniques. Artworks were displayed and auctioned during the exhibition. Parents as well as staff could not hide their excitement as they grabbed their phones to capture the arts and designs on display. Some very fine pieces were produced by the learners!
Madam Tornye Amedume graced the occasion and spent time with the students motivating them to grow to become responsible professionals and adults. She personally awarded some of the students whose work stood with cash awards.
Madam Amedume has a great passion for youth advocacy and motivation and seeks to leverage her ability to relate well with young people to motivate, empower and groom them into responsible adults, who mature into the problem-solving leadership that Ghana needs.
